PROJECT 1

PROJECT 2

The "Poster and Seminar - Contemporary Issues in Asian Architecture" project focuses on the balance between tradition and modernization in Asian architecture. Students investigate key issues like cultural preservation, sustainable design, and the impact of globalization. Through weekly discussions, we pinpoint architectural challenges and devise practical solutions. Working in groups of 6-7, we select a primary topic such as place identity, adaptive reuse, or sustainable cultural heritage tourism, and create a conservation strategy to preserve historical significance amidst urban development. The project concludes with a research poster and a 10-minute video presentation, which make up 50% of our final grade. This project aims to deepen our understanding of vernacular architecture, enhance critical thinking, and improve our research presentation skills.

REFLECTION

COMMUNICATION SKILL

Based on this project, I realize that communication skills are extremely important, especially since this is a group project. Effective communication is crucial for dividing tasks and ensuring everyone knows their responsibilities. We also need to have regular discussions to share our ideas and ensure we are all on the same page. By communicating well, we can collaborate more efficiently, address any issues that arise, and integrate our individual contributions into a cohesive final project. Good communication fosters a supportive team environment where everyone feels heard and valued, ultimately leading to a more successful and harmonious group effort.
