OVERAL REFLECTION
Through the "Contextual Study Sketch Journal of a Traditional Street" project, I have gained valuable insights into the unique identity of traditional streets in Kuala Lumpur. This project has significantly enhanced my research skills by encouraging me to utilize various resources such as books, the internet, and firsthand fieldwork. By visiting the location in person, I was able to experience and understand the street on a deeper level, ensuring that my research was thorough and well-rounded. This approach has fostered my ability to conduct independent research, contributing to my lifelong learning journey.
Similarly, the "Poster and Seminar - Contemporary Issues in Asian Architecture" project emphasized the importance of balancing tradition and modernization in Asian architecture. This experience highlighted the necessity of effective communication within a group setting. Regular discussions and clear communication were crucial for dividing tasks, sharing ideas, and ensuring that everyone was on the same page. This project underscored how good communication fosters a supportive team environment, leading to efficient collaboration and successful outcomes.
Overall, these projects have not only deepened my understanding of cultural preservation and sustainable design but also strengthened my research and communication skills. These experiences have taught me the value of combining independent research with teamwork to achieve comprehensive and well-rounded results.
